Downton Abbey
I just started watching the miniseries and it is fantastic ! ( for those of you who are partial to historic melodramas and tea) I love the clothing that they wear, and it has been interesting watching the hemlines rise as the show progresses. I. I have been contemplating how to make some clothing inspired by that period. Can’t wait for the second season to start.
My viking has been at the sewing machine repair shop recently, so it has been slow on the sewing front. I am in the process of sewing a winter coat and knitting hat & mittens, even though here in NC it is still in the 80s.
Lunch Boxes
For work I use MailChimp to send out mass emails. Today I was about to send an email for work when I stumbled across an article about a restaurant in Atlanta. The make lunch boxes for grownups ! I love the tiffins they package the lunches in.

These are some lovely zinnias I picked up yesterday at the Carrboro farmers. I am attempting to collect yellow pottery, and I found this vase at Twice Remembered in Durham. It is probably my favorite used furniture in the triangle because the owner is such a character.
